Mikko loves to party. He was not impressed when we said that Sam had no plans for his birthday this year and insisted we throw him a party. Here's one of the banners he made.
We went to a party supply store and spent at least three dollars on decorations and goofy party favors for all the attendees. (That would be just the four of us, and Alrik didn't really count.)
Mikko helped make Sam birthday brownies.
Properly behatted.
It's almost as if the gifts were more for Mikko than for Sam. Strange.
A good time was had by all.
Here's to another year, Sam.

Whoops. I added my link twice. Feel free to delete one. Thanks! lol
That looks like the best birthday party ever. Homemade treats made by the ones you love and being surrounding by your loved ones makes for a great time. Happy Birthday! :-)
Happy birthday! A sweetest birthday bash I heard.:)
Heehee. I have a little girls who likes to "help" open everyone else's presents, too. Happy Birthday to Sam!
Yay for your little party thrower!
I have to think Sam felt pretty special to have a preschooler initiated party. Mikko is awesome. Also, is Alrik wearing a leather jacket in one of those shots? Cuteness overload!
Love birthday bashes, Looks like a good time was had by all.
How sweet of him!!! What is "APA" that was written on everything?
And that fabric you have hanging in the first picture from IKEA-- we have that in our living room, glued into our wall panels! If you want to see it, this post shows it at many angles! Fun! http://mommyingmyway.blogspot.com/2011/11/manic-mondays-new-series.html
How sweet! Moira kept telling us that Daddy was going to have a surprise party, despite our attempts to explain that if it's a surprise, we can't tell him what the plans are.
OMG so cute! I can't wait until E is old enough to insist we throw a party for daddy too lol. What is it about guys and their lack of festive-ness?
Oh well. Yay for toddler/kids.
xoxo
That is very sweet :) Kieran has been talking about his plans for his own birthday: "I will have cake for breakfast, cake for lunch, cake for dinner, and cake for dessert."
When Tom's birthday rolled around last month, Kieran was all, "let's make papa cake for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert!!" (I mean, not because he would have benefited or anything. Ahem.)
Love the gift bags your boys prepared! So cute!
Visiting from Natural Parents Network!
Because sometimes a birthday isn't really about the birthday person... :)
