Wordless Wednesday: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Advent calendar cross-stitched by nana and hung with candies
Along with our activity-a-day calendar, we've put up the Advent calendar my mom made with Mikko's self-proclaimed "favorite" candies…
which, one day in, he decided he doesn't like anymore.

"You talkin' to me?"

reindeer at Swanson's Nursery Seattle
"Well, I'm the only one here. Who do you think you're talking to?"
(I like imagining reindeer confrontations.)

camel at Swanson's Nursery Seattle
"Oh, hello, I didn't see you there."
(Whereas I've decided this camel was entirely chill.)

Happy sleighing boys!

Oops, that didn't last.
(LOVE the expression on both their faces. Ha ha!)

carriage turning the corner — mule carriage ride in West Seattle Junction
We went to our neighborhood "downtown" for some holiday celebrations,
including a mule-drawn carriage ride.

It was raining so hard we had the carriage to ourselves.
Can you tell?

baby not sure — visiting Santa for pictures
We thought we'd try pictures with Santa.

No dice.

baby popping up — visiting Santa for pictures
What if we photobomb him?

Surprise!
Oh, no, that guy with the beard is still there.

family silhouettes — Menashe Christmas lights West Seattle
A family in our neighborhood goes all out decorating, so we stopped to see.

Let me tell you — the astonishing abundance was a hit with five-year-olds!

Ain't it always the case? You just get the baby to sleep in the manger …

… and a train goes by!

Doesn't it look like he's enthralled by the lights?
He's actually afraid the carved bear is going to spring to life and eat him.
True story. He signed it to me.

I also love your mom's advent calendar. the photo story is priceless & I bet the kids had a ball despite the rain & scary Santa man, LOL. They always seem afraid at least 1 year. Glad my title had you scratch your head, I was going for different reactions ;o)
