Welcome to the Sunday Surf! Here are some of the best links I've read this past week.

So ibnteresting to hear a mama's story of generous cross-nursing, and Amy answers  pretty much any question you might have had about it! This post is in honor of World Milksharing Week, and Amy's got a bloghop linky you can find at the end of her post or down below in this Sunday Surf so you can read other themed posts from the week. You can read Amy's how-to on breastmilk sharing from my babymoon.

Helpful thoughts for me as I read through Birth Matters,Women's Health, Obstetrics & Gynecology Books) by Ina May Gaskin, which has finally (!) come to me from the library.
Above all, I concluded, we should be striving to be sure that every mother experiences a caring, misogyny-free birth.

Powerful post on being real. We APers/natural parents can sometimes be so judgmental — of ourselves, especially of others. It's good to step back and admit the ways we are not perfect and stop expecting others to be, too. You can read (some of!) my own confessions in the comments.
People can make mistakes and learn from them. Usually when they learn better, they do better, and encourage other to do the same. Writing out my thoughts, feelings and dreams on my blog makes me feel like it is possible for even (flawed, imperfect, sometimes lazy) me to reach for those ideals.

Symptoms of postpartum depression, anxiety, & OCD set out in "plain mama English" so you can tell if you need help. (via http://www.raisingmyboychick.com/2011/09/postpartum-ocd-the-mom-who-couldnt-stop-logging/ — Dou-la-la's own story)

breastmilk sharing photo for guest post — Let's Take the Metro
Amanda's daughter holds a gift of breastmilk — her mama's way of passing it on.

The greatest gift: Breastmilk sharing during pregnancy

Amanda of Let's Take the Metro was kind enough to guest post for me about her milk receiving experiences for World Milksharing Week. It made me happy to think about the liquid support I might find if I had an unexpected pregnancy while I was still nursing a baby, and inspired me to keep pumping to donate to others who need it! Please show Amanda some comment love on her post if you get a chance.
