After another tearful drop-off (yes, still), it was such a pleasure to arrive at preschool pickup and see Mikko happily engrossed constructing a gigantic play dough Schlange (snake) rather than hiding from me under furniture. Hooray!
(Forgive the camera phone quality.)
Stamping his letter initials into his creation.
He even wanted to take a picture of his masterpiece before we left — and so he did!

I am, of course, particulary partial to my own children. But I have to say that is one cute little guy you have there! : )
What a marvelous snake!
Whenever we go to pick up the Critter at his school, he starts running and running and running in circles ... it's exhausting.
Beautiful creation.
Rachael, my daughter acts similarly when I arrive to pick her up. She runs, crawls and picks up toys. I think she is excited and is trying to tell me about her day.
Lauren, I'm curious if you know how long Mikko cries after drop off and if he does have fun most of the day. I'm so glad my daughter only cried for a couple of weeks when she started at daycare, because it is really tough to leave a crying child. She gives me the occasional reluctant sad face, but for the most part seems content when I drop her off.
Have I mentioned lately that your son is just absolutely beautiful? He totally is! And these are awesome bright photos! I love photos of colorful stuff!
That is an one huge and fantastic play-doh snake!
I agree with Momma Jorje: Mikko is just so freaking adorable! I'm pretty sure I'd be scared to encounter that kind of snake in the wild...but glad it was so brightly colored, so I could avoid it. =)
Fantastic snake!
I can't tell you how much I love your childs face. Pure joy, pure yummy.
I think your phone photos are pretty good, by the way.
Great creation! Mikko is such a cutie :-)
The tearful dropoffs are no fun. I was lucky that my son never cared. He literally ran into the school without a second look from 1st day. My daughter, on the other hand is much more attached to me and it never goes well. At least you know he's having fun after the drama!
What a lovely snake!
Yay for tear-less morning drop offs at preschool. I know it's gotta be rough on you too! I love Mikko's snake. It's huge!!! And those cheeks? I want to nibble them. :) Hope you're doing well. Thanks for stopping by and linking up! Have a great day.
that is a big snake, LOL! I am sure he will start to love going to school more each time. it is great interaction with their peers, which they really need. thanks so much for your kind words for my grandson :) ~Faythe
I had to return to work when my first was only three weeks old in the mid-60's when new mothers still stayed home. No daycare in our area back then. Lucky for me I had family to lend a hand. It took the pain away. I know how you fewel about wanting to cry but can't show that.
Are you kidding me with those smooshy lil pumpkin cheeks?!! He is awesome!
