Peek-a-boo! There's someone new at our house.
Two someones.
We adopted two Maine Coon mixes (big and friendly furballs) from a rescue.
They're not from the same litter, but they consider each other sisters, and so do we.
How are the boys taking to them? They love them.
Here is one keeping poor sick Mikko company on the couch.
In fact, Alrik might be just a little too loving, according to the cats.
Hugs for kitty!
For the sake of mercy, make the loving stop!
We got the right cats, though, because they are astonishingly tolerant.
Because, clearly, he is not stopping the love.
Meow!

Cute. I want a cat, but the husband is not a cat person. I still need to work on that! :)
I love the kitty quilt! A perfect accessory for the occasion.
Your two new furbabbies are beautiful. It is great that they are tolerant and good natured as well. Enjoy all the fun times and memories you'll make. Purrs and hugs, the kitties at www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

They're cute! I wondered what the cats thought of the boys, too. Do you feel the household is more balanced now - adding 2 females? :-)
Good on you for adopting from a rescue and keeping "sisters" together!
Aww SO sweet! I've always thought it's so great for kids to have pets! I was not at all a cat person. I wanted a dog but Hubs convinced me to adopt our little feline, and now he's more of my fur-baby than any pup ever was before!! Love them!! <3
@Shannon Hillinger: Isn't that perfect? Sam's aunt quilted it for Mikko when he was a baby, and he pulled it out to snuggle with when he was sick. I figure it attracted the cat to him.
@The Paper Princess: I thought you'd appreciate this week's theme! :) I almost said something in my comment on your post but didn't want to spoil the surprise.
@Momma Jorje: Ha ha! I didn't even think of that, but you're right that now I can finally hold my own. ;)
I was so glad we could find a bonded pair to adopt together. One's 2, and one's 3, but they were together before coming into the rescue. They're super sweet to each other, always helping the other groom. I've been joking to Mikko, "Oh, I guess it's time for all of us to lick each other!"
Sweet. I'm allergic to cats. :(
