Recent educational budget cuts haven't yet affected our homeschool's art possibilities…
Good thing, since the boys love their art projects.
Alrik's favorite are these new dot paint sticks.
Mikko's a fan, too.
Alrik also loves markers.
Especially black markers. He's so goth.
"Goo-goo-goo!" is also a favorite.
Ah, nice and goopy for collages!
Sculpting!
Sometimes the art projects are entirely self-directed …
And sometimes the art supplies get new uses,
like writing answers to a puzzle book on arms!
Perfectly artsy.
I encourage you to enter my giveaways for three $100 CVS gift cards: "Staying well during sick days," "7 ways to turn sick days into fun days," & "Fluffy rainbow clouds of joy on a sick day." They're close soon, on March 31 (US). We could all use some cold & flu tips (plus extra spending money!) to help us through this sniffly season, right?
You'll also love the charming photos of Signing over at Natural Parents Network. A young Mikko is showing off his signing skills!

Looks like fun - and quite a mess LOL.
This looks like so much fun! I don't know how we would have gotten through the super snowy winter here without art projects!
My 7 year old still uses her body like a canvas. Art is fun!
The weather here is still awful, so we are getting through a lot of paper, glue, glitter, stickers, paint and play dough. I think we would go entirely crazy if we couldn't make lots of artistic messes and creations! I want to try marbling with the kids, but it involves turpentine/white spirits and I don't know if there is a safe alternative, will have to go and look up online! Lovely pictures! :)
I am really surprised either one of them have markers all over them! ;) Little E colored herself with a pen last week. So fun....;)
Love, love, LOVE crafts! Your boys are so creative! I totally love that you are letting them discover art supplies, write on their arms, use glue, and just have fun! A lot of the Moms I work with are VERY picky about that..and I'm just like, c'mon guys, we all know it's just going to get all over them, anyway..why fight it? Haha. I think that being messy is part of being a kid...this movement to clean and disinfect EVERYTHING sometimes surprises me. And glue..oh, my! When I do projects with my kiddos that I work with, glue and markers are everywhere!! But that's part of the fun : ) Glad to see you and your kiddos are staying creative! Keep being awesome!

What a FUN mess! :) Like you, I'm not afraid to let the kiddos get messy. It's great for their sensory development!
Thanks for the idea for the WW post :)
