One of our trips this summer was taking a ferry to a lavender farm.
Then it was time for a picnic on the water.
Which means throwing rocks, of course!
And building an impromptu caterpillar habitat …
… for this furry friend.
Alrik entertained us with his Power Rangers moves, kind of like a toddler tai chi.
We were impressed the caterpillar traversed the whole length of the table in the meantime and made it to our backpack. Apparently he wanted a ride home.
But we said goodbye to Mr. Fuzz and got back on the ferry.
Remember summer? We still have the fragrant dried bouquet on our door to remind us.

Oh wow, we definitely don't have any lavender fields like that around here. How cool!

I can almost smell the lavender. Charming photos.
I'll never forget the Lavender Walk we took in Provence. How can you, with all that sensory input?
Here's my Wordless Wednesday.

I think i'm the only person on the planet who isn't really keen on the scent of lavender! *cringe*

Oh I love Lavender. I love the plant and the color. It grows almost wild here.
I can almost smell it. Thanks for sharing!
Lavender is probably one of my favorites! I grow my own, and I use it in cooking as much as I can. It's such a lovely scent.
How cool! One of these days I swear we're going to go to one of the berry farms around here. I know you've done that one, too.
Also... Sam just looks so... fatherly.
