We got our Halloween pumpkins from Stocker Farms,
which is chock-full of autumn fun for the kids.
Alrik loved playing in the corn pit.
Rubber duck races via water pump.
Fishing ... Mikko caught one!
On the hay ride.
You take a little stop on the hay ride to watch them fire pumpkins out of an air cannon, because they can.
Mikko prepares for the blast.
Alrik and I watch from the wagon.
He was not a fan of the cannon, by the way.
New this year was a yellow bouncy mound. Alrik was intrigued enough to try.
Mikko went at least four times.
His favorite bit is plopping down.
Mikko proved he could handle a hammer and nail quite well,
pounding in about 30 nails on this stump with no help.
Now we know whom to call for our home reno projects!
Banging on pots and pans always works for the little ones.
Making beaded necklaces.
This yellow one's for Grandma (shhh…don't tell).
Mikko was excited enough to do a little jig showing off his.
At last it was time to get pumpkins.
Mikko gets himself measured for posterity. He's cracked 4 feet!
Or maybe just his hair has.
Alrik's still working his way toward 3.
Surveying the choices.
Got some good ones!
A bit heavy; needs two hands.
We ended up with four again, at Mikko's insistence, so we'd each have our own.
A cute little pumpkin!
Happy Thanksgiving, to all my American friends!
