Happy Back to (Home)school!

Hobo Mama wants you to know she's a professional blogger! Look at how professional she's being!

We enjoyed our annual trip to the bowling lanes
to celebrate our first day of (not) back to school.

For those counting, we're now in fifth grade,
first grade, and (un)preschool.
You can tell they're homeschoolers by their uniforms, hey?

I love me some rented shoes,
and I'm digging the silver toes
on this shiny new pair.

Yes, we once again had balls stuck
partway down because
the kids rolled them so slowly.

But we don't go to be good at bowling.
We just have fun.

And eat snacks.
Natch.

This was Alrik's successful lobbing of a ball
after he had first dropped it
the opposite direction.

Bowling cuties.
I can't believe how big they're getting.

Look at those moves.

The next day, we mailed our annual
Declaration of Intent to Provide Home-Based Instruction.
(That's the legal thing hereabouts.)
At their ages, it's just for Mikko for now,
but Karsten walked to the mailbox with me and did the honors.

We are officially homeschooling for another year!

What are your school plans for the year?
How has back to school been going?
