Robots, Space Invaders, & self-driving cars at the Living Computers museum

Hobo Mama wants you to know she's a professional blogger! Look at how professional she's being!

We made it to Living Computers: Museum + Labs,
in Seattle not far from where we live.
We scored a library pass, but you could check it out
on a Free First Thursday evening.

Here's a video glimpse of our adventures
with robots and vintage gaming systems and more:

Greetings!

Driving the telepresence robots!

Coming to get you!

Space Invaders on the Atari! Look at those realistic graphics.

Inducting my children into the 1980s.

Using an old-school Apple.

My little sweetheart drew his favorite message: XOXO MAMA.

Operator!

Reeeeach.

We met a woman who used one of these machines
at work back in the day, along with the …

punch cards. These were fun to make! And kind of like early Twitter,
in that there was an 80-character limit. The photo at the top is
the kids posing with their DANTDM creation.
Now you know what those letters look like in punch code.

Trying out the self-driving car. Thank goodness for it, too,
because on manual, they kept crashing into the side of the (virtual) road.

Fun times with computers!
