I think part of convincing women to persevere and be stubborn, as you put it, is to give them a vision of what could be -- pain-free, easy, convenient. Every time I breastfeed in front of other people, I feel like an advocate in that way. If people think that breastfeeding is easy and they face challenges, they are liable to give up. I had some trouble the first week and was stubborn, like you, and persevered.
